::Starbucks on Montana::
I love being able to walk 2 blocks and get a wonderful hot cup of coffee in the morning. What I am starting to hate about the Starbucks located on Montana and 14th are the people asking me to help homeless kids in LA.
Okay I get it, it might not be the kids fault they are homeless. However sitting outside a local Starbucks and harassing its patrons is not going to get you too far.
Dont get me wrong I feel bad for those kids, however cant these people change up locations every once in a while. They stand out there at least 4 days a week.
Furthermore, who is paying these to stand on a corner and collect signatures and money?
Wouldnt their paychecks be better spent on the homeless children of LA they are trying so desperately to save?
The only reason I doubt they are volunteers is because they are only out there during the week, when most of LA is at work.
I agree! I overheard a conversation between one of the ‘volunteers’ and a man who was a professional advocate for the homeless who said they were a ‘bogus’ organization. I’d love to get to the bottom of this. It disturbs my coffee-experience and I am concerned that people are being taken for a ride.
